Amanda Osorio graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Spanish Literature from Hope College and received her Juris Doctorate from Western Michigan University – Cooley Law School. Amanda is licensed to practice in the State of Michigan and admitted to the courts of the State of Michigan and the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan. Amanda’s practice focuses on Trademark and Copyright matters, domestic and internationally, and on IP related litigation and business law matters.
Amanda’s law school concentration was in International Law, making her an important asset in Mitchell IP Law’s international patent, trademark and copyright law practice. She worked as an intern in Madrid, Spain with Mariscal & Asociados, an international transactional boutique firm. She speaks Spanish fluently, and has worked professionally as an interpreter.
Amanda has also interned with Todd Neckers, PLLC and has gained valuable litigation experience working with the Kent County Prosecutor’s office. In 2015 she participated in the Hillman Advocacy Program of the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan.
Amanda is active in the community, serving on the Board of Directors for Health Intervention Services Clinic. She has interned with the Red Cross of Greater Grand Rapids and completed one year of Americorps VISTA service. She is involved in the Grand Rapids Bar Association Young Lawyers Section and is on the communications committee for the Women Lawyers Association of West Michigan.
In her free time Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and family, traveling, boating in Grand Haven, reading books, and wine tasting.
